Purchasing Commissioned Solo Work

Please send an email if you are interested in commissioning a solo piece. Commissions are being considered on a limited basis. I do not make "custom work”. However, I am willing to work based on model, main color and detail technique requests. I want collectors to feel comfortable giving their input, but I also need to have the artistic freedom to make choices and follow my intuition.

The "detail techniques” I predominately use in my solo work are: hand-pulled stringer reticello, nonametech, color fades, intricate encalmo work, latticino encalmo inlay and crushed opal. I work with both the colors I make (FSS) and colors produced by the major color manufacturers. I also use a variety of cold-work techniques: beveling, dotting, battuto and sandblast/frosted accents. Include in your email your name, model, color and technique requests, your budget, your timeline, your IG profile name (if you have one), and questions you have, and I will get right back to you to begin correspondence.  Once we've discussed it a bit, I have an idea of what you are looking for, and we seem like a good fit to work together, I will provide an estimate. I work slowly, but I'm easy to work with. If you are too, we might work together well. 

For buyers new to me, a 50% deposit is required to begin the project, with the remaining 50% due prior to shipping the completed work. Depending on how the creation process goes, the original estimate and timeline may need to be modified. I try to stay on budget and schedule, but your understanding is required with complex pieces.  Progress photos will be sent during the prep phase of the build, but once the piece is in full swing of being assembled, photos will not be sent until the piece is complete and final photography has taken place. Once complete, a private listing on this site will be created on a hidden page where the sale will be finalized. Once the deposit is paid, you are committed to purchasing the piece upon completion. No refunds will be made for deposits.  All glass will be shipped insured, packed bomb-proof and in a Pelican case. Digital photo originals and an 8x10 signed and dated photo will be included with the purchase.
