14"er - Circle Solo #5 of 2024 Set

Include in this set: fully worked 14"er, Matrix Downstem 4 1/4" in length, 14 multi bowl V3 with worked joint, 14mm Fitting Snap Trap with worked female joint, 14mm bowl stand with worked joint. 

All other matching items ( snifter, flower pot bowl, stirring wand, cleaning plug, rifled downstem) are not included in the price of this set but are available to the buyer as  additional accessories.

Colors used in this piece are Molten Aura Gold Amethyst, Northstar Illuminati, Corning 1960's era uranium borosilicate tubing, White and Northstar Galaxy. The bulk of the Gold Amethyst is encased in a thin layer of clear glass. The less intensly colored Gold Amethyst sections are made of Corning 1960's era uranium over Gold Amethyst then encased in a thin layer of clear. This gives a corduroy lined effect and glows under blacklight. The reticello line work is made from hand-pulled stringers of Glass Alchemy Jackpot over Northstar Jet Black, Northstar Illuminati and White. White and Northstar Galaxy pinlines are used throughout. 

The mouthpiece, foot, matrix downstem, 14mm multihole bowl, 14mm fitting Snap Trap and bowl stand are hand-carved with a beveling wheel and a Foredom hand tool. Within the center chamber there are a worked matrix filter and worked recycling cone hidden behind the outer decorative reticello sleeve of glass. This is made particularly visible when lit by a UV blacklight. Many details will be found with close examination. 

To begin this piece, the request was made for a 14'er made with Gold Amethyst from Molten Aura. All other creative decisions were left up to me. I absolutely love working with the freedom and trust of the collector. Thanks to Cris for trusting through this process.  I hope my intensions come through in the final work.
